These moments - these individually written sounds, which I also marked as moments in the sketches - were created for the piece"im selben Augenblick" . Harp and double bass form the core of the piece. The combination of these two instruments resulted in wonderful sounds that I wanted to render audible.  I wanted to give each of these sounds its time to be heard, to be listened to. Once they are struck, the strings need a lot of time to decay. A lot of subtle sonic things happen in that decay that are incredibly beautiful, and need to be listened to with a lot of patience.
